Tundra EP
Plattenbank continues its search for fresh talent with its 12th release, presenting a three-track EP from Tel-Aviv based DJ Oded Adam. After nearly a decade of experience as a DJ in many of the country’s top clubs, Oded successfully made the jump into the studio in 2009, with his tracks already appearing on Echoplast and Avangardia, and his talents being called upon for a pair of remixes of Yonathan Dahan. His debut on Plattenbank shows a trio of tracks demonstrating his feel for the deeper moments of the night, each bringing together soft progressive atmospheres with solid tech-house arrangements. “In a Little Shed” is a lush symphony of relaxed tones, hypnotic in its melodic approach and subtly energetic through its use of crafty rhythms and rousing low end. “No Agenda” strikes a light chord, propelled with a bouncing bassline and integrating a sense of progressive with the liveliness of an unmistakable tech-house drive. “Tundra” eagerly cuts its path through the soundfield, with a rumbling low end and crafty crescendo ideal for ramping up the steam as the night gets firmly underway.
