It is with pride that we introduce to you this new member of the 4lux family: Once there was DJ Sneak! Now there’s Alex Agore! Alex is a versatile and talented producer hailing from Berlin, Germany. His sound is heavily inspired by the USA house sound. With influences ranging from jazz, funk and Detroit techno it’s a safe bet that Agore’s take on House Music is an interesting one. His productions are drenched with pumping beats, catchy riffs and funky deep grooves. This 1st twelve for 4lux Black is reminiscent of some of the better Moodymann and Theo Parrish tunes. With tunes such as Behold, Without Cha, memories and Café Au Lait, Alex Agore brings home the potatoes for sure. Alex Agore’s will be heard by a wide-ranging roster of house DJs in and outside of the European area, this EP had to have been written with a DJ in mind and has to be one of heck of a funky record, with the syncopated collage of quiet jingling, subtle handclaps, keyboard melodies, and soul-drenched vocal samples. Agore’s debut release serves us wonderful tracks for home listening as well as for damaging dancefloor bombs!
