Save Your Soul
The group is composed of two people: Lena Collin and her producer Owen Replay. The group's sound is strongly influenced by the '80s and combines both the electronic universe of the English analogue pop and the more classical European compositions. The melodies stay important and every song can be interpreted from a more classical point of view (accompanied by either piano or guitar), as this was the band members' wish. None the less, electronic sounds are very important to the Collin/Replay universe. Some songs start off from an alternative lounge sound and evolve to a dyed-in-the-wool electro pop sound. The lyrics suggest the world's sufferings and joys, they remember us of our beliefs and desires. Collin/Replay is an electro pop group that has been strongly influenced by other bands like Human League, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, Art Of Noise, Pet Shop Boys, Kraftwerk and others. It's producer, Owen Replay, gained inspiration from such atmospheres in order to create this album with singer Lena Collin. For them there exists a certain warmth in these analogue sounds, which are definitely created by the harmonies of the old synthesizers and the sung melodies. All the original tracks have been composed with the piano before they were remixed by more complicated machines. On this album we'll find harmonies, compositions and some covers like the famous "Missing" by E B T G and the other famous track P. Machinary by Propaganda, produced by Travor Horn.
