Vollmond EP
It is no stretch of the truth to refer to MIDAS 104 as one of Berlin's favourite and most wanted sons. So it comes as no surprise that his first EP with us - Vollmond - is packed with winners.
The EP starts off with 'Phobia', a collaboration between MIDAS 104 and Nils Twachtmann. With a strong chord progression, cleverly woven together with morphing stabs, it isn't until a second or third listen that you get a sense that darker things are on the horizon.
And they are not far off. 'Narkose', with its deep, growling, bassline-driven melody, instantly transports you to the early hours of a clubber's morning; head down, feet shuffling rhythmically, your arms creating invisible patterns in silent motion as if painting a picture only you can see.
With a name like 'Sugar', one would expect an interlude of sorts, but don’t let the name fool you. 'Sugar' is brooding, with intense dark overtones, and eclectic but sporadic blips. Vocoder heavy vocals make for an easy departure to an underground lair, filled with hedonistic delights.
We hope you enjoy EP this as much as we are!
