Berlin after the Second World War. Jazz and Swing brought to Europe by the American soldiers was up to conquer the continent. German radio stations played the "new" music and very soon also set up big band formations consisting of European musicians who developed amazing skills with regard to Swing, Jazz and many modern forms of music. One of the most prolific bands was lead by trombonist, composer and arranger Walter Dobschinski. His "Berlin Radio Swing band" soon gained great repuatation not only in the capital but all over Germany.
