Up next on Water Bear is label Co-Founder Sergio Maldonados 9th release for the label, Iron Sight - a dark and driving affair which cuts right to the chase from the get-go: a modulating percussive line which delivers twists and turns atop an earth shattering sub bass. Its not long before things kick into gear with the accompaniment of a raw, raspy synth stab which pushes the track into deeper territories as the breakdown unfolds into a synth lead to carry the mood and energy forward nicely. Brittons mix re-frames things into a more bottom heavy context, complete with a subtle melody and nicely placed shifts in energy to keep things perpetually moving while still remaining true to the feel of the original mix. Julien Lukens approach wraps up the release nicely with a grooving, twisted rendition which rhythmically undulates into dubby territories, providing a nice structural curveball for the dance floors.
