Our Dying Dream is the second release from Connecticut-based hard rockers Hearts & Thieves, and features a tighter and more focused sound than their debut Side One EP. The band's maturing sensibilities are evident in the arrangements and the song structures: while still wildly original, the five songs are noticeably more radio-friendly and accessible to casual rock listeners. A labor of love over two years in the making, the record was recorded, mixed, and produced by the band in their private rehearsal studio. Remaining true to their massive list of influences, the Our Dying Dream EP forges ahead into new territory and offers a collection of songs that lean both harder and yet still more pop at the same time. From the opening bass riff of "Bad Machine" to the last note of "The War", this record is a ride any lover of rock 'n roll will be glad they took.
