Until recently sampled guitar sounds performed on a midi keyboard have sounded "less then realistic". That has now changed. The good folks at Musiclab.com have developed a couple of sample-based virtual instruments with an innovative approach to guitar sound modeling and guitar techniques emulating on a standard MIDI keyboard. One is called "Real Strat" and the other is called "Real Guitar". I was so impressed shortly after receiving these products that I was inspired to record this collection of classic guitar instrumentals.
