KEVLAR is a band of locked and loaded musicians rocking as hard as humanly possible. The quartet is comprised of vocalist Kelci Margaret, bassist Anthony Sanzo, drummer Nick Sanzo, and guitarist Jake Flaugh. After years developing their sound, they started to break through with their hard-hitting EP The Void and its titular single and music video.

The band’s roots go all the way to back to 2011, forming while the founding members were still in high school. After they’d crafted some original music, performing at parties and small venues, they spent the next few years evolving and searching for a style they could call their own. In the winter of 2014, after deciding to make a career of being in KEVLAR, they reached out to Kelci to join as their new vocalist. It was only a matter of weeks before songs were completed and they finally found what they had been looking for.

Now with almost two years under their belt, KEVLAR have already shared the stage with national acts like Gemini Syndrome, Avatar, Nonpoint, Powerman 5000, and Puddle of Mudd. On top of all that, they released The Void in June of last year and a follow up EP, Home Is Where The Heart Is earlier this year. The EP is reflective of the number of influences the group bring to the table. Name-checking everything from Classic Rock to Pop Punk to Metalcore to Country, they aren’t afraid to incorporate any sound that packs a wallop into their music. Funny enough the band says that the EP and its single are inspired by the everyday struggle of feeling inadequate and indecisive. If anything their music is anything but.
