So here's the story of how Love's Made a Fool of You was recorded. My intent was to record a new version of Tommy Roe's song Sheila because I think I can sing that song better than him. Then I decided to record Love's Made a Fool of You instead. I programmed the drums in Ableton Live, played the rhythm guitars on my classical guitar and Fender Strat, played lead guitar on the Strat, and then played a bass line using my classical guitar. I recorded the vocal using a SHURE KSM27 mic. The song was recorded, mixed, and mastered in about three hours and was completely spontaneous.
