Raised in Texas then uprooted to California, Katharine Cole started out living on the streets of Hollywood in the heydays of punk and grunge rock. She made her way to San Francisco where her twanging style and down-home personality found her on a major label playing the best rock stages in town and indeed, the country. Now Katharine has found a home back in the South and has spent the last year writing this collection of heartbreaking songs that make up "Brittle Season". Recorded in North Carolina at Fidelitorium under the eye of Mitch Easter and John Pffifner (REM/Avett Bros), Cole has reinvented herself once again on this, her tenth independent release.
