Though it’s hard to match the great American songbook, we did not grow up with Johnny Mercer and Rodgers & Hammerstein – more like Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead. Showing respect and love for jazz, while reworking contemporary songs from the pop-rock canon of the last 40 years, Collective Acoustics is joined by vocalist Melanie Hazelrigg on this acoustic based record crossing the jazz/pop divide.
