Life Is Perfect is Nef Jones and Jimi K Bones first complete collaboration as JonesBones. The album was produced by engineer and friend Brian McGee (Rolling Stones, Cyndi Lauper, Aerosmith, Monday Night Football). The CD has flavors ranging from artists like Liz Phair, Ramones, Green Day, early Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and of course a whole lot of Nef and Jimi.

With Nef’s raw lyrics and catchy melodies and Jimi’s guitars and backing vocals it feels as though the music jumps out and grabs you by the throat, as Nef screams “Wait just one minute that was my heart that you trampled on.” But her rawness doesn’t limit itself to angst, as Nef turns her emotions into a slippery, sloppy, sex deliverance in Nothing New: Waking up real slow, panties on backwards, heads about to explode. And there is humor, which she attributes to her partner Jimi, in Life Is Perfect (When You're Gone) and her signature song Alphabet City: I was baptized on Avenue B, passing junkies on the street.
