When making this CD, It was important to reflect the solemnity of the Way of the Cross and the depth of the human emotions it stirs, yet in a way that leaves the listener feeling safely ‘held’. We did not want this to be an unbearably moving experience or to connect people with their pain in a way that left anyone feeling alone or inconsolable. Very sensitively Val put together some comfortingly traditional & well loved sacred music (instrumentals) together with some really beautiful music and refrains that she composed herself.. The effect is moving and inspiring and the listener is assured of God’s companionship every step of their way from life, to death and beyond death to fullness of Life in his presence.
