Humble Beginnings
In lieu of the dramatic change in the climate of hip hop music, it is refreshing to know that somewhere and with someone you will be able to find a seemingly seamless merge between the integrity of the old school and the freshness of the new school era of hip hop. Through Victory's mind tickling wordplay, cinematic stories. and mind blowing metaphors you receive a message that motivates the most docile of human spirits.
This was found on a website- "Victory hails and was born in the Brick City but also grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey. Hip hop pumps through his veins sure as baby diapers have stains. If you looking for real music, real good...real righteous, real hood...you can find it right here. 'Life has a way of bringing you back to what you love the most and all the been there's and done that's equate for one moment on the mic for me...'"
His travels led him to his current residence of Atlanta, Georgia. As a youth this aspiring DJ turned to appreciate the dedication and artistry of all musicians from Isaac Hayes to MC Hammer. The pains and struggles scribed by legendary hip hop artists inspired the creativity and courage to tell his own story. With a style mixed with pleasure and pain and a flow driven out of hope born of a crimson stain, Victory strives to reach the world. Victory played the trombone in through middle school and the rhythm of marching bands while playing football confirmed his journey in music. He has been compared to the likes of Notorious BIG, Nas, Freeway, Beanie Siegel, Phonte, and other notable greats of the genre. He strives continuously to create a new voice, a new sound, and send a message of hope through adversity through powerful and witty lyrics. His elegance with words allows him to be placed at the pinnacle with other wordsmiths.
Yet with all this being said, he holds a humility that is unbecoming of what most would consider to be of a rising hip hop great. His shock value is that you would not expect him to have the skills to be able to rhyme let alone have mastered the craft with the integrity of a mason. The music speaks for itself and to digest it is to experience a life change... a Victory.
