Homer, exiled from Cuba at the early age of seven, was immediately hooked by the sounds of American Pop Radio. Music quickly consumed his life. Though drums were his first love, he was given a guitar because "it's much quieter". However, they soon discovered it wasn't--not the way he played it! After playing in numerous bands in the south Florida area where he grew up, he left for Los Angeles with "Havana", a three piece Latin Rock band which he fronted as lead guitar and singer. Three of their songs were featured in comedian Paul Rodriguez's hit movie "A Million to Juan". The band went on to record with such notable artists as Latin percussionist Tito Puente and Jazz flautist Dave Valentin. Havana disbanded in 1988, and Homer decided this was his chance to move where he had most felt at home while touring-Texas. Since moving to Texas he has played with numerous local bands including, Leaping Lizards, Rock Candy, Crush, Powerplay, 17 Minutes To Sunday, Elle and Elle, and most recently Jukebox Junkies.
