A Rockalypse Now
I write songs on subjects that inspire me, ranging from social issues to quirky romantic relationships. I recorded this song playing keyboard, guitar and bass. The lyrics on "A Rockalypse Now" talk about depression, teenage anxiety, and the feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Eventually it culminates in the conclusion that the world we live in today is in an apocalypse (or "a rockalypse"). The title was obviously based on by the 1979 film, Apocalypse Now, though I hadn't watched that movie when I wrote this song. This is track #14 on my first album, Dark Matter.
