Flip Damon & J. Royce Matthews offer a classic approach to these wonderful compositions, written to depict styles that inspired them from some of their favorite artists. The tracks were all recorded at their studio, "Crestmoor" in Maryland,
where all of their production work is done. They really enjoyed recording these songs, which actually took several months.
Listeners will hear stories about "big cats" in "Circle Parade", and how there should be no more "Sad Songs", a Beach Boy style ballad. The jazzy piano in "Like a Dream" was played by James Levy, who is himself, an accomplished artist with Township Records, and also played on "Country Girl", and the rocker, "Wash My Car".
