Derek Alven Bailey aka D dot Bailey is far from your typical 19 year old kid. Not only is (D dot) attending the Musicians Institute in hollywood so that he can "understand the business aspect of the music world" , he is also "writing and recording rapidly" he says jokingly. He recorded his first song "Warm Bed" when he was 17 and after that he said he knew " Music could not just be a hobby for me any more after that, i had to be around it or involved in it from here on out". Taking only 3 months to write and record his first album (D dot Bailey) figured that maybe " i could make a living off of my thoughts, feelings, and experiences" but if not ill just have to get a "real job". He said as he laughed, as for what the future holds for the young lyrical singer " I truly hope and pray that my future is somewhat similar to my expectations because if it is then I will be extremely happy and very proud of myself".
