Skatterbrain is the debut solo album for Chicago party rapper Kash D. All the tracks were produced and mixed by Johnny Cosmic (Fluid Minds, Adult Swim). After releasing several group projects, Kash felt it was time to make a new creative statement.

"I wanted to push myself harder than before. I wanted to make music with a sound and style that wasn't already out there. With the help of my good friend and long time mentor, Johnny Cosmic, we were able to blend our styles into a unique project that blew away all my expectations." The sessions usually started with Kash telling Johnny a couple instruments, sounds or feelings he wanted to incorporate into the next song. Before long they were coming up with all kinds of mind bending beats, hooks and rhymes. Tweaking sounds into sonic landscapes and keeping the fast phrasing of the vocals nothing short of lyrical masterpieces.

Kash reflects "On previous projects I wrote about what I thought people wanted to hear, a glamorized perspective of how I wanted to be portrayed as an artist. This time I've begun the process of creating art more true to life. Real feelings, real stories, my passions, my demons, my escapes and escapades. A glimpse into my life. This is who I am...This is me... This is SKATTERBRAIN."
