Chris Lang is soulful musician based in Denver. He has performed and / or recorded with jazz and soul artists such as Rick Braun, Bobby Lyle, Joey Sommerville, Rudy Royston, Hugh Ragin, Alex Bugnon, Jeff Golub and Solomon Burke. His first full-length CD, Soul Food Vol. 1, reflects his hybrid style that incorporates hip-hop, funk, and electronica into the world of jazz. Featuring tracks mixed by #1 jazz producer Darren Rahn, as well as performances from Downbeat award winners like Rudy and Shamie Royston, Soul Food Vol. 1 delivers the musical meal that it's title implies. Since its release in 2005, Chris has spent tons of time on the road with the award-winning group Dave LeMieux and House of Soul (#1 on the Jazz R&R chart in 2010), as well as raising two wonderful kids at home with his wife Beth. Now that the kids are older and House of Soul has stopped touring, watch for Soul Food Vol. 2 to be released in the summer of 2015.
