Low Glow

Low Glow

Low Glow combines soaring melodies with curious effects and somber guitars to create a bizarrely beautiful mix of old school Pink Floyd and modern day U2.

Slow heaviness, intense desperation and sincere, rocking weirdness blend to form a soft, sonic barrage. Think Bread... modern.

"If you're ready to party... you should play something else," Britt says. "This record should have a warning not to operate heavy equipment while you jam it. Certainly don't while driving late at night."

Britt casually hints at the humor behind the subtlely depressing and sometimes lonely songs that make up Low Glow.

Britt's warm vocal character is the sum of clarity, a dash of Lennon, and the angst of Roger Waters.

Imagine Beck, crashing a Radiohead session as he dabbles with lethal toxins....

Mature and sensitive, this record shows his true artistic ability. Painting pictures of fractured lives, losers, disappointments and spirituality. He writes of people out of place in life, drawing upon his own life and those of others to tell stories that touch your soul.

Artfully self-produced and recorded, Low Glow reveals Britt as an artist that has something to say.

HISTORY

Based in Atlanta, Britt has until now been active in the Los Angeles scene, spending the last 8 years recording and touring with his former alt rock band The Almighty Ultrasound. "The glimmers of success I've experienced so far, have created this un-dying urge for more." he claims. "It's addictive you know, because when it's good... it's very interesting."

These "glimmers" include recording four records, a radio single re-mix by Dave Jerden (Jane's Addiction, Alice In Chains), a slot on the Blockbuster RockFest in front of 150,000 rock fans, and opening dates with KISS , The Ramones, The Hunger and numerous others. Britt adds, "There have been so many great experiences; radio shows from Alaska to Florida, tour buses and jets; all the things KISS used to sing about, very rock star type stuff you know, autographs and limos and such. That's what got me into music in the first place. Then, I developed a love for the process of creating something out of nothing, and a great tolerance for the less glorious moments. I still see plenty of those."

Low Glow is Britt's first solo release. "Being in a band was great. It's comes with a real "One-for-all" vibe, you know. But being able to create, without those compromises, what I'm hearing inside is, as you might expect, extremely liberating."

A moderate departure from Ultrasound, Britt has shed some techno skin to reveal a more song-oriented, creepily heavy, and often unusual sound." I'm the type that's drawn to odd tones; they're just interesting to me. But I also realize the beauty of a good song that can stand on it's own. It's really all about the songs."

The modern day "Classics" Britt has created in Low Glow aren't trendy. Nothing about the artist and his music will be passé tomorrow.

In Low Glow, Britt is showing signs as an innovator, a true musician and songwriter. Catch on to his career now and soon you'll tell your friends "I told ya so."
