Steel Blue Moon
Following the first national tour and major label release of his career, singer/songwriter/guitarist Jamie Walker recorded a collection of his songs in a more intimate and acoustic setting than his band 'Swinging Steaks' had been living in at the time. After finally securing a record deal at the age of 37 with 4 kids under the age of 10, Jamie had hit the road with the Steaks only to be dropped as Capricorn lost their Warner Brothers distribution. In the ensuing doubt and questioning of direction, he rounded up some of his fellow Steaks, as well as several other musical friends, to record 'Steel Blue Moon' on his 1/4" 8 track machine and some borrowed outboard gear in his home's basement studio. The album has received some steady airplay on Umass Boston's folk radio station, WUMB.
