Tides Of Our Lives
About "Tides Of Our Lives
On this CD you will hear a simple Guitar/vocal folk style song recalling the early days of a man’s life and the joy he experienced on the front porch of his family homestead.
You will be taken into the seedy world of a lifetime of drug use with it’s inevitable outcome. The music on this song represents the confusion of the lifestyle and the death march of the drums leads you to the driving guitar which builds to the final conclusion of the song.
You cannot have joy without sorrow. It is a lesson worth learning and I attempted to show that in the title song.
Of course I would want you to dance with a few songs, so I added a few uptempo Rockabilly songs for your listening pleasure.
And a little fantasy never hurt anyone.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy my songs.
I love to write songs that will pull at your heart strings. If you are looking for music that mirrors what you hear on your local FM Radio station...welllll....you won't find it here. And everything won't sound the same. My songs all have their own unique Bill Robinson sound. What sound is that? I dunno, maybe a little Blend of Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash, with a touch of Darryl Worley thrown in for good measure, with Lyrics following in the footsteps of the great country/folk songwriter legends.
NOTE;About CD-R.
It seems there has been some concern about folks selling CD's that are in CD-R format. My CD is in CD-R format. What's that mean you might ask? It means I burn them myself or I have them burned by a CD duplication company.
In order for me to offer CD-ROM, which is what you get from a retail store, I have to order large quantities, probably a minimum of 500 and more likely 1000.
Why don't I do that? Well, I am a new unknown artist. I do not have a huge fan base established. I can do CD-R in small quantities as needed.
Are CD-R's inferior? Personally I don't think so. It's a different technology. But some people think so. I won't argue with that.
If you order one of my CD-R's and it fails within two years send it to me and I will replace it.
I use high quality waterproof disc's for my CD's. The sound is excellent and the printing won't run. It's all about the music not the packaging.
