The purpose of the album is to present a collection of melodic pop songs that are not over-arranged with too much instrumentation. The idea is too draw the listener in towards the melodies, the voice and the meaning/mood of the lyrics. The use of acoustic guitars, piano, key-strings and fretless bass is a deliberate move away from the electric sounds used by many pop musisians and the arrangements are an attempt to sound somewhat 'unplugged' and uncomplicated.
