The Pursuit of Happiness
Casual Affair, made up of Lewis Major and Jennifer Woodman, is an acoustic rock band that has been entertaining Des Moines, Iowa and surrounding areas for the past six years. In June of 2000, Casual Affair released their first CD, "Evolution".
In June of 2002, the group began working on their second album, "The Pursuit of Happiness" with producer J. Hughes in St. Louis, Missouri. Concentrating on building a foundation to showcase their acoustic based songs, the pair enlisted the help of musician friends to expand the sonic palette.
The new record has proven to be much more musically diverse, while remaining true to the strength and emotions of their song writing. From the country tinged ballad "Don't Want to Cry" to the poignant, atmospheric "Haunted", Casual Affair is creating the best music of their career.
