Defending Kobe
I'm coming at you with the new Kobe Bryant song, "NOT GUILTY". When I write a song, I tell a story...just as if you were reading a storybook. The song is R&B with a pinch of hip-hop flavor. No, I'm not a Johnny Cochran, but I can defend my dog through a song. 90 % of people feel the accuser is looking foe a quick fix. I said to myself, 'hot damn, she's full of it'. I've been writing & performing for 12 years and I try to write what people want to hear. Sometimes I write about myself and other times I'll write about what I see. My way of knowing a hit song is by the first minute it plays. If it's good, it should get your attention in that first minute. You shouldn't have to listen to a song 6 or 7 times to like it. You shouldn't have to ask other people how it sounds. If it's good, they will let you know by tapping their foot or by humming it out of the blue. It always works for me. I got the whole town bumping & singing 'Not Guilty'. The newspaper in the surrounding towns did a story on my Kobe song. What I'm bringing to the table is real. If you listen to my 'Not Guilty' CD, I'll bet you would want to hear it again and again. When you listen to the title track (Not Guilty), you can feel good knowing Kobe & his attorney, Pamela Mackey, are bumping to my music.

I sent 2 copies to Kobe & his attorney's office in Denver, CO. Was I sure she gave Kobe his copy? No, I wasn't. That's why Dirty South Tommy went to the Grizzlies game when the Lakers were in town. I leaned over the rail when the Lakers started to the locker room. I was determined for Kobe to have this CD. I gave him 15 copies and said, 'my dog, your new song, NOT GUILTY'. He smiled and said 'thanks man'. I told Kobe to give a copy to each teammate.

Now the whole Lakers team has heard 'Not Guilty'. I got his back, I hope you guys do too. Would you like to hear a fat track on Michael Jackson ??? I would name the song 'The King Of Pop Can't Stop'. If so, e-mail me at ammonsphoto@eetronics.com . Remmber, I like singing what people want to hear.
