Live in Atlanta (unplugged)
This is a live recording of the band at Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, Georgia. Eddie's Attic is a widely known acoustical listening room designed primarily for solo songwriters. However, from time to time, full bands come along and do acoustical renderings of their work. Reknowned sound engineer, Shelom Aberle (Jellyfish), recorded and mixed the performance on the fly. After listening to the final product, the band purchased the recording from the club with the intention of critiquing the performance and using it as a practice tool.
But the performance turned out nearly flawless. . .and as it turns out, so did the recording. After playing the record in a couple of clubs in New York City, the raves eventually got back to the band and it was decided that the record should go to print.
The record features seven songs, five of those being cuts from Lowry's newest LP "Awful Joy". It also features two new songs from the band, "Radio Sky" and "One Thing". Most importantly, the recording spotlights the delicate, beautiful harmonies of Lowry that are sometimes lost in the louder rock venues.
