Dorothy was born in Kenya; on the Eastern part of Africa. She was raised in a musical family and her life’s journey has been characterized by singing in chorals, duets, trios and quartets in her earlier years. Dorothy was an active member of Calvary Singers, a high school campus music ministry.

It wasn’t until her teenage years that Dorothy renewed her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and began her walk of salvation. Since then, her primary focus in music has grown into Praise and Worship. She testifies that this change has completely transformed her love of music as a worship minister.

Dorothy believes that worship predates music. She believes that music is a tool that enhances what worship already is. Consistent with this belief about the place of worship, it not only started becoming an important part of her life, but has been her lifestyle.

Before relocating to the United States, Dorothy ministered as a worship leader at Lifespring Chapel, Nairobi under the pastorship of Pastor Steve Maina and
