Mario Basanov (Marijus Adomaitis) is top notch Lithuanian producer, secret studio weapon, slowly but surely heading for world domination. Still in his twenties but solid ten years of production experience behind his back Mario is the one to watch. House, Disco, Broken Beat, New Jazz - Mario’s creative work shows all of these are just names not boundaries. \r \r What really surprises is Mario’s scope and versatility. Lithuanian pop stars knock at his door when they need a proper sounding song or album. Local dance celebrities do the same when they’re in demand for a new floor destroyer. And when it comes to more ambitious musical grounds one shouldn’t be surprised to find Mario's name checked alongside living legends Bugge Wesseltoft, Lars Danielsson, Nils Petter Molvaer or Eivind Aarset in various live and studio projects such as Lars Danielsson’s album Mélange Bleu.\r \r Mario teamed up with local dance music aficionado DJ Vidis in 2007 to form the most influential local production combo and to deliver what could be the freshest sounding House music in Lithuania and around. Their work has been supported by Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova, Atjazz, Laurent Garnier, Toby Tobias, Pete Herbert, and many many others. And their tracks I'll Be Gone, Who's Shot The Silence?!, and In My System became national phenomena on their own right. Duo's debut artist album is due to be released autumn 2010.\r \r Year 2009 revealed Mario's love affair with sentimental Disco sounds. Two of his tracks Do you Remember? and Carribean Girl were released to great commercial success on Future Classic and Under The Shade respectively. More original productions and remix work in the same vein are to follow.
