3 Winans Brothers made their much-anticipated live debut at last year‘s historic 50th Anniversary March on Washington ceremonies where they premiered their first single from their forthcoming album, ‘If God Be For Us.’ The album, Foreign Land, is set for release through BMG this spring. The group worked with acclaimed producers Rodney Jerkins and Bebe Winans’ long-time collaborator Daniel Weatherspoon. Both producers are known for their work in the Pop, R&B and Gospel arenas. The Winans family is among the most celebrated dynasties in American musical history as icons of gospel, soul, and R&B for more than three decades. They are known for their groundbreaking combination of traditional gospel with modern urban sound and style. All three brothers have been feted with industry awards and honors, including 17 Grammy® Awards among them and multiple NAACP Image Awards, Stellar and Soul Train Awards, and more. Now, as 3 Winans Brothers, these artists come together as a trio for the first time ever to release new music. MARVIN L. WINANS Pastor Marvin L. Winans is the founder and pastor of Perfecting Church, one of Detroit, Michigan’s foremost congregations and a growing ministry family that extends far beyond its active local campus. In addition to his ministry achievements, Pastor Winans is a multiple GRAMMY®, Stellar, and Dove winning recording artist, as well as one-fourth of the legendary gospel quartet, The Winans, with whom he recorded such beloved hits as “Tomorrow”, “Ain’t No Need to Worry” and “It’s Time.” His background in music has been put to good use at Perfecting Church, where his songs are sung weekly and have appeared in various recording projects featuring the church’s praise band and choir, including the church’s 2012’s The Praise & Worship Experience, which Pastor Winans produced. Of his milestones and legacy in ministry, Pastor Marvin L. WINANS A devoted and loving father of six, and a native of Detroit, Carvin made his musical debut in 1981 as a member of the world renowned Winans family. Throughout his career, he has received multiple GRAMMY ®,Soul Train, NAACP and Dove Awards. In 2002 Carvin performed on a sold out world tour with the Winans family in front of millions of fans which closed out in Detroit at the Fox Theatre. In October 2007 he was inducted in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Nashville Tennessee along with his brothers. On June 18, 2008 Carvin received the President’s Merit Award from the Recording Academy in recognition of his extraordinary gifts as a passionate singer, performer, expressive communicator, and pioneer of contemporary gospel music. After the tragic loss of his beloved friend Whitney Houston, Carvin sang his song “Tomorrow” at her funeral which then became the #1 Inspirational Song on iTunes. A song in which she enjoyed performing.
