Lucio Dalla
Italian singer and composer Lucio Dalla has had a long and notable music career. Over the years he has recorded numerous albums that have sold millions of copies under labels like RCA, Sony, and BMG. He has also composed musical scores for both television and films. Lucio Dalla was born in March of 1943 in Bologna, Italy. He showed a love and a talent for music at an early age. By the time he was 14, there was little doubt of the career path he should take. Dalla made his debut recording in 1964. He went on to complete a number of successful albums throughout the '70s and '80s. When not in the studio, he kept to a demanding touring schedule that helped his popularity increase in places like South America and Europe. Four decades after his professional career began, Dalla's music still finds new fans with "best-of" and "greatest-hits" albums.
